Great food, very quiet so this meant staff were too attentive so I felt hurried. Very friendly

Lovely staff great food and a pleasant cosy restaurant. Prices are about average but the buffet is great value though limited choices. The staff encourage you to go up more than once which is nice for the less confident individual. Overall an enjoyable evening with the family.

The chippy was excellent would go back again

Good chippy one of the best I have tried. Well priced to with a decent portion. Unlike some if the others, that I have visited in the past. Stopped in on the way home from a night trip to the seaside.

I enjoy Indian food, and with the Jasmine being the big player in the town, I felt that none of the other Indian restaurants where on par. However, Handi is in a whole different league of its own. Simply put, the food here is outstanding. They offer regional dishes, ranging from awesome street foods to curries that will change your perception of the word. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the staff are very helpful and friendly - I've eaten out in many, many different restaurants, and none of them match the hospitality of this one. Overall, I can't find a single fault with this place and each dish tasted unique and didn't taste like generic Indian fayre. If you haven't been here yet, I'd like to push you in their direction!

A big improvement on previous incarnation of this restaurant. Food really good and served to table piping hot. Staff friendly and informative. I'll be back.

Now my favourite restaurant for Indian food, I mostly do takeaway but is a very nice establishment, great staff , excellent food , nice atmosphere for dinning... well worth travelling for.

On arrival we were greeted with smile. Great to watch planes,helicopters and parachutists when having your lunch. Food was great. I had pea n ham soup. Wife had garlic mushrooms, sister- in-law had haggis fritters. I had tipsy flying burger, its was amazing, wife had the same and S/L had steak pie. Kids had chips as were not very hungry. We all had soft drinks. Came to £43. Great price for 3 adults n 2 kids. Would recommend and will b back. Very happy. Thanx again

The Golden Acorn is a Wetherspoon pub that features good food coupled with good service. Ordering food is simple as you can use an app to select what ever you fancy on their menu. There is also free wifi available, so you don't need to use your own data to browse the app. If you do not have a phone, then the standard way of ordering is fine. The food itself is standard pub food - which ranges from burgers to curries on their well-known curry night. Other themed nights are regular and seem to be well received by other people I've spoken with. Overall, this is a good place to have something to eat, drink and spend a nice evening with friends.

The hotel is amazing from reception Lou is friendly and helpful. Rooms are big and spacious and comfortable. The pub is busy, needs more staff, food well I personally thought the food was disgusting. I would go back but not for food

The place is so run down but the food is tasty and great value for money.

I ordered a take out so haven't sat in the restaurant yet. However Mee Kee's indoor appearance is absolutely beautiful with Chinese decorations and nicely made tables. The food tastes wonderful with flavours that aren't overpowering. The chicken is succulent and the rice is nicely cooked. There vegetable spring rolls are absolutely amazing! It's a family business with really nice people. I think that people judge a book by its cover and only see the restaurant from the outside instead of how it looks inside so I'd recommend giving this restaurant a try even just once!

Delivery quoted as 50 minutes - finally arrived after 1hour 40 minutes and was lukewarm at best. Refund requested and was delivered to my door the same day with an apology.
